Favorite Wedding Planning Site of the Week: Wedding Wire

I discovered Wedding Wire when the DJ from my wedding asked me to review him there. When I became a wedding vendor myself, I found that I just can’t stay off this site, it’s wonderful!

For the Bride: It has Bride forums with lovely, supportive brides that give honest opinions and helpful suggestions. Vendors are also allowed to post (this feature may be turned off by the post creator) on the bride forums, giving brides instant access to expert advice on any wedding topic. There is a directory of vendor listings with the opportunity to review after the wedding. Wedding Wire also has great tools for wedding planning such as guest management, seating charts, budget worksheets and inspiration boards. There are informational articles and a special question and answer board where you can ask a specific questions and get answers from other brides and professionals.

For the Vendor: Free business listings and an opportunity to get reviews from brides. Lead opportunities, with differing results based on category and location. Interaction with brides on their forums as well as vendor forums for networking and industry discussions. **Note: blatant advertising on either forum is highly discouraged and will get you removed! That’s not what we are there for!** Articles on the industry, marketing and more.

Overall I really love this site because of their wide network, the great features and most of all, the friendly community. While other places on the web tend to attract drama and cattiness, Wedding Wire remains a place of encouragement, fun and support.
